If you’re looking to enhance your natural beauty in a non-surgical and minimally invasive way, PDO thread lifts are a fantastic option. They’re often called “lunchtime facelifts” because treatment takes 30-60 minutes, offering convenience, no downtime, and instant results.

About Our PDO Thread Lift Service

During a thread lift facial, specialized sutures called NovaThreads—also known as polydioxanone (PDO) threads—are placed in targeted areas to lift your skin and minimize sagging.

Because the sutures create small wounds, the body’s natural healing processes begin to occur: tissue regeneration, collagen production, and elastin development. As NovaThreads gradually get absorbed over time, your skin is left firmer, tighter, and more youthful-looking.

Goals of a Thread Facelift

A PDO thread lift at our Kingwood clinic can help patients achieve the following goals:

  • Reduce eyelid drooping
  • Soften crow’s feet and fine lines near the eyes
  • Resolve mid and lower-face sagging
  • Correct sagging skin in the neck area
  • Soften the appearance of old scars
  • Minimize lines and wrinkles

Procedure, Downtime, & Results

At our med spa in Kingwood, PDO thread lifts are performed under local anesthesia to ensure your comfort. While you may experience numbness or soreness after your treatment (which takes only 30-60 minutes), our thread facelift patients have reported that any lingering discomfort is minimal and short-lived.

Once the initial swelling or inflammation subsides (within a couple of days), you’ll start to notice the results. While these results will vary, patients often report looking and feeling up to 10 years younger. Additionally, since the sutures in PDO treatments dissolve naturally, you will not require additional procedures for suture removal.

Ideal Candidates

For those looking to improve mild sagging without invasive surgery, our PDO thread lifts are a great option.

Ideal candidates are typically people in their late 30s to 70s+ who want to tighten their skin and minimize fine lines and wrinkles. It’s also an ideal solution for those who have had a surgical facelift in the past and want a non-invasive touch-up to help ensure the results last as long as possible.

Benefits of PDO Threads

In addition to compelling visual results that are noticeable as early as a few days after the procedure, a PDO thread lift facial offers many more benefits.

Natural-Looking Results

Undergoing a non-invasive facelift procedure with PDO threads can quickly transform your face and restore youthful vitality to your features with natural-looking results.

Minimal Downtime

Thread facelifts are quick and non-invasive procedures requiring minimal downtime. Any swelling or tenderness typically resolves itself within a few days.

Non-Surgical

PDO threads work by stimulating collagen production and providing immediate lift to sagging skin. These threads are inserted under the skin to lift and tighten areas like the cheeks, jawline, neck, and brows.

Cost-Effective

Compared to other invasive and surgical procedures, getting a facelift with PDO threads tends to be a much more cost-effective choice for facial rejuvenation.

FAQs

What is the recovery period after getting a threading facelift?

You may experience tenderness, swelling, and bruising near the affected area for a few days, but this resolves on its own.

Since this is a low-risk procedure, you don’t have to worry about a long recovery time or any serious side effects. Following your thread facelift, our team will recommend the expected downtime. However, most of our patients feel comfortable going back to work the next day.

How long do the results of a threading facelift last?

Results last up to a year for some, and longer for others.

The sutures that are used in PDO thread lifts to pull your skin during the procedure are naturally replaced by your body’s collagen over time. Eventually, this collagen is broken down by your body. As you age, your body will begin producing less collagen to replenish the levels lost, and this can reduce the effects of a thread lift facial.

Are there any restrictions to consider before and after a threading facelift?

While our team will provide comprehensive instructions on what you can and cannot do after the PDO thread lift procedure, there are some general guidelines to consider:

We recommend not touching or washing your face for up to 12 hours after the procedure, and limiting facial motion or excessive facial animation for 24 hours. We highly recommend sleeping on your back for 30 days for best results. You can get in touch with us if you have any questions about possible restrictions post-procedure.
