The NovaThreads — also known as polydioxanone (PDO) threads — facelift involves placing specialized sutures in targeted areas to lift your skin, which suspends skin and minimizes sagging.

Because the sutures create small wounds, the body’s natural healing processes occur: tissue regeneration, collagen production, and elastin development. As NovaThreads gradually absorb over time, your skin is left firmer, tighter, and more youthful-looking.

When Will I See Results From a Threading Facelift?

At our med spa near Houston, PDO thread lifts are performed under local anesthesia to ensure your comfort. While you may experience numbness or soreness after your treatment (which takes 30-60 minutes), patients have reported that any lingering discomfort was minimal and short-lived.

Once any initial swelling or inflammation subsides (within a couple of days), you’ll start to notice the results. While these results will vary, patients often report looking and feeling up to 10 years younger. Additionally, since the sutures in PDO treatments dissolve naturally, you will not require additional procedures for suture removal.
