As part of your PRF or PRP facial procedure, a small amount of your blood will be extracted and spun in a centrifuge to separate platelet-rich fibrin or plasma. Both PRF and PRP facials have similar procedures. Each of these processes begins with a simple blood draw. Your blood is processed in a centrifuge, which rapidly spins your blood specimen and forces plasma and platelets to become separated. This is your platelet-rich plasma (PRP). For PRF procedures, your face is injected with platelet-rich fibrins.
